Friday recipe

It is  summer and apples continue to be a dollar a pound.   Slow cooker apple crisp sounds like a good desert, and children can hone their measuring skills.

6 cups apples, peeled, and sliced.

1 cup bread crumbs

3/4 cup brown sugar

1 sick butter, melted

1/4 cup chopped walnuts

Sprinkle of cinnamon



  Spray the inside of the cooking vessel with non stick spray, ( Pam)

  • Add ingredients as listed. 
  • Stir to coat apples 
Cook on low 3-4 hours or on HI for 2  hours.  
Serve with whip cream or ice cream or plain
